Affordable, Long-Term Outpatient Care
While considering your diagnosis and the level of care that you need, Illuminate Recovery will craft a specialized program and timeline for your treatment. In most cases, our outpatient care is available on a 30, 60, or 90-day basis. Ideally, clients will remain in care for an extended period of time (60-90 days minimum) in order to achieve the highest change of success. Because our program is individualized, the cost of care differs for each custom outpatient treatment program. However, we make every effort to reduce the number of out-of-pocket expenses and work with the majority of national insurance providers to provide great coverage and cash-pay options. As a result, Illuminate Recovery is more affordable than other treatment centers, removing the barrier of excessive cost from your path to recovery.

When Medical Detox is Necessary
Before entering Illuminate Recovery, it’s important to make sure outpatient treatment is right for you. Our clinical staff will perform a comprehensive psychiatric and medical evaluation before making a recommendation on the type and level of care needed.
When there is a medical need for detox, we’ll recommend an inpatient detox treatment center from one of our partner facilities. Generally medical detox is necessary when the individual is physically dependent on a chemical, such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opioids. Withdrawal symptoms from alcohol and benzos can be life-threatening in some instances, so it’s important these clients are monitored around the clock.
Depending on the circumstance, medications may be prescribed to ease withdrawal symptoms and help reduce cravings. In some instances, medications are used to replace the drug of abuse and clients are then slowly weaned off the maintenance medication over weeks or months.
It’s important an individual has stabilized after withdrawal so they are prepared physically and mentally for therapeutic care. The length of time one spends in detox varies. Someone who is withdrawing from alcohol, for example, will have different withdrawal symptoms than someone who is detoxing from opioids.
Flexible, Outpatient Care
Once medical detox is complete, and the individual is ready for addiction treatment, they enter into a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), eventually graduating into a lower level of outpatient care.
Unlike other substance abuse treatment centers, the sober living facilities are completely separate from our treatment facility. This arrangement allows us to provide day treatment in a different setting than where our clients live and sleep. We’ve found this option works well for those who need to maintain employment, work on relationships with family and friends, and stay connected to the outside world.
We don’t believe in closing off patients completely from their cell phone or laptop while in care. Eventually they are going to have to reintegrate. We want to ensure that our clients are prepared for “the real world”. We have seen that by allowing these outside connections, clients will bring issues that arise into the discussion and we can address these concerns in group or individual therapy.

For those who are traveling for our outpatient program or simply need a little more support, living outside of the home in a sober recovery house can be a healthy option. Our partners at The Sobriety Experience offer an upscale living environment at an affordable price.
These gender specific residential homes are located throughput Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. Our dedicated staff will work with you on transportation, ensuring you are able to safely go from day treatment at our clinical facilities back to your sober living house at night.
In the evenings our clients can visit the local gym, go on sober outings, attend meetings and classes. They can also stay in and enjoy the inclusive amenities one might be accustomed to in a typical Arizona home, such as a swimming pool, ping pong table and upscale kitchen.
The safe, structured environment was specifically designed to help individuals get and stay sober. Each sober living house has an on-site manager, daily routine, life skills development, peer group and community house meetings, urinalysis and breathalyzer testing and periodic progress reports with sponsors.
